Obverse description A three-quarter perspective view of the Banco Central de Guinea Ecuatorial building in Malabo occupies the central field, flanked to the right by a stylised palm tree. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA DE GUINEA ECUATORIAL' arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border. Below the building, the inscription 'BANCO CENTRAL MALABO' is positioned above the denomination '2.000 EKUELE', with the fineness mark '0,927' and the mintmaster's initials 'CHI' appearing to the lower right and left of the building respectively.
