Description de l’avers	The full Arms of Guyana occupy the central field, featuring a shield divided into quarters and supported by two jaguars rampant on either side, with an Amerindian headdress as crest above. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in three lines. The country name GUYANA is inscribed as a legend at the top of the coin, while the dual date 1999 - 2000 is prominently rendered in large numerals along the lower portion of the field.
