| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within an ornate beaded cartouche framed by elaborate rococo scrollwork and acanthus flourishes. Below the portrait, a decorative egg-form motif in high relief depicts a floral basket flanked by symmetrical voluted supports on a footed stand, evoking the Fabergé tradition. The legend NIUE ISLAND arcs along the upper periphery within the ornate frame, while 2000 DOLLARS appears vertically along the left field and 2014 along the right field.
