Obverse description Central field bears a four-line Arabic and Persian calligraphic legend in elegant Nastaliq script reading 'Al-Sultan Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar' enclosed within a finely beaded inner circle. The legend is framed by a wreath composed of olive branches to the left and oak branches to the right, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The mint name 'Tehran' (طهران) appears in small script at the bottom of the field, below the wreath junction. The entire design is contained within a reeded border.

Reverse description Central device depicts the Imperial Iranian emblem of the Lion and Sun: a passant lion facing left, wielding an upright scimitar in its right forepaw, set against a radiant rising sun whose rays fan outward behind the lion's body. Above the lion, the Qajar crown is prominently displayed at the top of the field. The central device is enclosed within a wreath of olive and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, flanked by a beaded inner border. Below the lion, the denomination legend 'دو هزار دینار' (Two Thousand Dinars) is inscribed in Nastaliq script, with the AH date '۱۲۸۱' appearing in the lower exergue area.
