Reverse description Central device depicts the Imperial Iranian 'Shir-o-Khorshid' (Lion and Sun) emblem: a passant lion facing left, brandishing an upraised sword in its right paw, with a radiant sun rising behind its back. Above the lion, a Qajar crown surmounts the composition. The date ۱۳۱۲ or ۱۳۱۳ appears in the field to the right of the lion. Below the lion, a rectangular cartouche bears the denomination legend in Arabic script. The entire device is enclosed within a wreath of olive and oak branches tied with a ribbon at the base, all within a reeded rim.
