Beschrijving voorzijde	Green intaglio print on a light underprint. At right, a portrait vignette of Antonio José de Sucre accompanied by the Coat of Arms of the Sucre family; the left portion of the note is reserved for the watermark zone. The central field carries the numeral denomination '2000' with the legend 'DOS MIL BOLIVARES' split across two registers, below which appears the payment clause 'PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO'; the issuer title 'BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA' is placed along the upper left, with the numeral '2000' repeated in the upper-right and lower-left corners.

The central vignette reproduces an engraving of the painting 'Triumph of Sucre in the Battle of Ayacucho' by Herrera Toro, based on the work of Martín Tovar y Tovar, with a Coat of Arms placed to the right of the scene. The legend 'DOS MIL BOLIVARES' runs along the top margin, while 'BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA' is inscribed along the bottom; the numeral '2000' appears in three corners, with the right side reserved for the watermark zone.
