Obverse description Central device features the crowned Polish eagle of the People's Republic of Poland, rendered in high relief with wings spread and head turned to the right, set against a plain field. The date 19-80 is divided at the lower left and right of the eagle's body, flanked by the mint mark. The denomination 200 ZŁ appears in large numerals along the lower rim, with the abbreviation ZŁ repeated on either side. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery in Latin characters. The overall design reflects the standardised heraldic style employed on Polish commemorative coinage of the period.
