Obverse description The Polish state eagle of the People's Republic, depicted uncrowned with wings spread and head turned to the right, occupies the central field, engraved in high relief against a mirror-polished background. The date 1980 is split on either side of the eagle's talons, with the mint mark MW incorporated within the left digit. The denomination 200 ZŁ appears in large numerals along the lower rim, flanked by the abbreviations ZŁ to each side. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery in Latin script.
