| Obverse description | The Polish state eagle displayed with wings spread, crowned and detailed in high relief, occupies the central field. The denomination '200 ZŁ' is inscribed in large numerals beneath the eagle, flanked by the 'ZŁ' currency abbreviation on either side. The date '1980' appears in two parts to the left and right of the eagle's body. The circular legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' runs along the upper periphery, separated from the field by a raised inner border.
