Reverse description The central device depicts the heraldic coat of arms of the January Uprising of 1863, featuring a quartered shield with the Polish Eagle on the dexter side and the Pahonia (mounted knight) of Lithuania on the sinister side, surmounted by elaborate Baroque mantling and supported by crossed cannons with cannonballs at the base, a small angel figure at the shield's foot, and two military flags with lances flanking the composition on either side. The curved legend '160. ROCZNICA' arcs across the upper field, while 'POWSTANIA STYCZNIOWEGO' curves along the lower left and right periphery. The date '1863' is inscribed in the lower central field, and the designer's mark 'P' appears to the right of the shield.
