| Description du revers | Right-facing bust of Duke Mieszko I, first historical ruler of Poland, portrayed in a semi-realistic medieval style with flowing hair beneath a jeweled crown or diadem, and a draped cloak fastened at the shoulder with a decorative brooch. The effigy occupies the central and lower field with strong sculptural relief. The legend MIESZKO I arcs along the left periphery, while the regnal dates 960-992 appear along the right periphery. The word PRÓBA, denoting trial or pattern status, is inscribed vertically in the right field adjacent to the portrait. |
