Obverse description The obverse features the Polish state eagle displayed with wings spread, rendered in a stylized heraldic manner and centered in the field. The eagle faces right and is depicted without a crown, consistent with the People's Republic of Poland coinage. The circular legend reads POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA around the upper periphery. The date 1980, split by the mint mark MW, appears in the lower field flanking the eagle. The denomination 200 ZŁ is inscribed prominently at the base of the design in large numerals flanked by the złoty abbreviation.
