| 背面描述 | A half-length effigy of Bolesław I Chrobry, the first crowned King of Poland, depicted facing forward in a majestic, seated pose, clad in a fur-trimmed robe and wearing a crown, holding a spear in his right hand. The figure is rendered in high relief with detailed, sculptural modeling conveying regal authority. The legend 'BOLESŁAW • I • CHROBRY' arcs across the upper periphery, with the regnal dates '992 • 1025' inscribed in the lower field. The word 'PRÓBA' (trial/pattern) appears prominently in the right field, indicating the coin's status as a trial strike. The reverse was engraved by Ewa Olszewska-Borys. |

This trial strike was part of the Polish State Mint's internal evaluation process for the 200 Złotych commemorative series honoring Bolesław I Chrobry — Poland's first crowned king. The nickel composition distinguishes it from the issued silver versions, as trial pieces in base metal were routinely produced to test die alignment, striking pressure, and edge treatment before committing to precious metal production runs. Such pieces rarely left the mint through official channels.
The Fischer reference places this among a cluster of Chrobry-related pattern and trial material from the same period, suggesting multiple design and composition variants were evaluated simultaneously.
