The 200 Zlotych is part of the long-running series designed by Andrzej Heidrich, who was responsible for virtually every significant Polish banknote issued between the 1970s and his death in 2019 — a span of creative output almost unmatched by any single designer in European central banking. The series to which this note belongs underwent incremental security upgrades across the 2015–2021 date range rather than a full redesign, which is why multiple signature combinations exist within the same pick number.
Terry Chipper's engraving work on Polish notes of this period reflects a continuation of the intaglio tradition that Heidrich's designs were specifically built around.
