Reverse description A seated Buddha figure is depicted in high relief at the center of the field, rendered in a serene frontal pose with hands raised in a gesture of teaching or blessing (vitarka mudra), draped in flowing robes with finely engraved folds. The figure exhibits the characteristic serene facial expression and elongated earlobes of classical Chinese Buddhist iconography, consistent with the sculptural style of the Maijishan Grottoes. The denomination 200元 appears to the right of the figure in Chinese characters and Arabic numerals. The field is otherwise uncluttered, allowing the sculptural quality of the Buddhist image to dominate the composition.
