Reverse description The Bank of Japan (Nippon Ginko) logo is positioned at the top centre, above a detailed intaglio vignette of the Danzan Shrine's thirteen-story pagoda set within a wooded landscape at the left. The denomination is repeated in both kanji and Western numerals within guilloche-patterned panels on either side, and the issuing authority inscription appears in horizontal bands across the face.
