Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, showing three lions mounted on an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra. Below the emblem, the national motto in Devanagari script reads 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate). The country name 'भारत' appears in large Devanagari characters along the left arc and 'INDIA' in Latin characters along the right arc of the legend. The denomination '₹200' is prominently rendered in large numerals at the lower portion of the field.
