| Reverse description | A facing bust portrait of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, Hindu reformer and founder of the Arya Samaj, wearing a draped shawl and a traditional turban, occupies the central field. The Devanagari legend 'महर्षि दयानंद सरस्वती की 200वीं जयंती' arcs along the upper periphery. The dates '1824' and '2024' flank the portrait at mid-field, with a stylized sacrificial fire altar (yajna kund) motif to the left and right respectively. The issue year '2025' appears below the portrait in the lower central field. The Latin legend '200TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF MAHARSHI DAYANAND SARASWATI' is inscribed along the lower periphery. |

| Additional information |
Issued to mark the bicentenary of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati's birth in 1824, this commemorative was released by the Government of India through its Security Printing and Minting Corporation. Dayanand founded the Arya Samaj in 1875 in Bombay, a reformist Hindu movement that rejected idolatry and caste discrimination and became a significant intellectual force in the independence movement decades later.
The 200-rupee denomination has been used sparingly for commemoratives, making it one of the less common face values in the modern Indian collector series.
