Obverse description Central field features the Lion Capital of Ashoka (Sarnath pillar), the national emblem of India, depicted with three lions visible atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra (wheel) flanked by a bull and horse in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The Devanagari inscription 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth alone triumphs') appears below the emblem. The denomination '₹200' is prominently struck in the lower field. The country name appears in Devanagari 'भारत' along the left and in Latin 'INDIA' along the right, both arranged vertically in bold relief.
