| Obverse description | At center of the mirror-polished proof field, the Russian State Emblem — a double-headed eagle with wings displayed, rendered in high relief — occupies the central device, enclosed within a fine dotted inner border. The denomination ДВЕСТИ РУБЛЕЙ (Two Hundred Roubles) arcs along the upper legend in Cyrillic, while БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) is inscribed in two lines beneath the eagle. Along the lower periphery, the date 2000 Г. is flanked by the gold fineness Au 999 to the left and the weight 31,1 to the right, each separated by raised dots. The Saint Petersburg Mint mark (СПМД) appears discretely to the lower right within the dotted border. |
