Obverse description The obverse is dominated by an intaglio portrait vignette of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in military uniform, set within a guilloche oval at right. At lower left, a vignette of the ruins of Persepolis is rendered in fine line engraving against a multicoloured guilloche underprint in orange, green, and blue. The bank name in Persian script and the denomination appear in large bold lettering at centre, with the serial number printed in red at top and bottom, and the Iranian solar calendar date at lower centre.

Reverse description The reverse carries a central intaglio vignette of Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, with a twin-engine Iranian Airways propeller aircraft on the tarmac in the foreground and the terminal building with control tower behind. Achaemenid column capitals with winged lion figures flank the design on either side. A large blank guilloche circle at right serves as a control device, and the denomination panel at the base reads RIALS 200 in Latin script within an ornamental cartouche.
