| Obverse description | The Imperial coat of arms of Brazil occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield charged with the armillary sphere and the Southern Cross, surmounted by the Imperial crown. The shield is flanked by two branches — a coffee branch to the left and a tobacco branch to the right — tied together at the base with a ribbon.
