The Sociedade Numismática Paranaense is a collector organization based in Paraná state, and this 2022 piece marks the bicentennial of Brazilian independence — September 7, 1822, when Dom Pedro I declared separation from Portugal on the banks of the Ipiranga river. Numismatic societies across Brazil issued commemorative fantasy notes for the occasion, and the SNP's contribution was one of several regional pieces produced outside the Banco Central do Brasil's official commemorative program.

Fagner Máximo da Silveira designed the note. It carries no legal tender status.
