| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Dominican Republic occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a cross, an open Bible, and lances, flanked by a laurel branch to the left and a palm frond to the right. A ribbon above the shield bears the national motto DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD, and a second ribbon below reads REPUBLICA DOMINICANA. The legend REPUBLICA DOMINICANA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 200 PESOS appears in large characters along the lower rim. Weight and fineness indicators 12 GRS. and AU .900 are inscribed vertically on either side of the coat of arms, with four small five-pointed stars punctuating the field. |
