| 备注 |
Brazil's Thesouro Nacional relied heavily on the American Bank Note Company throughout the 1870s, a relationship that reflects both the prestige ABNC commanded in that period and Brazil's lack of domestic high-security printing capacity. The 5th print designation within this series indicates a later production run under the same basic contract, though incremental changes in plate wear or paper stock between prints occasionally allow specialists to distinguish runs without relying solely on documentation.
The mil réis system — denominations expressed in thousands of réis — was already showing strain by 1878, with inflationary pressures that would eventually force Brazil toward the milréis and later the cruzeiro through successive reforms.
