Obverse description Polychrome intaglio and lithographic print. To the left, an oval vignette bears an engraved portrait of Dom Pedro II (Pedro de Alcântara, 1825–1891), Emperor of Brazil. The face plate carries the issuing authority title, denomination numerals, and the statutory authorization text referencing Law No. 4635-A of 8 January 1923.
