| 背面描述 | A dynamic basketball scene in high relief dominates the field, depicting four male figures — three players competing for a lay-up shot at a basketball hoop and backboard in the upper right, with a fourth figure standing to the left as a coach or referee. The crowned arms of Croatia, a shield bearing the red-and-white chequerboard surmounted by a crown of five smaller shields, are positioned at the top center of the field. The legend 'KOŠARKA' is inscribed along the upper left, with 'OLIMPIJSKE IGRE ATLANTA 1996.' curving along the lower rim. The engraver's initials 'KH' appear in small letters at the lower center of the field. |

Croatia's 1996 Atlanta Olympics issue commemorates the country's second appearance as an independent nation at the Summer Games — its first full Olympic cycle since declaring independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. The basketball team that year was particularly notable, fielding several NBA-caliber players during a period when Croatian basketball commanded genuine international respect.
KM#46 is one of several Croatian silver commemoratives from this period produced for the collector market rather than circulation, consistent with the bank's output through the mid-1990s.
