| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a detailed cartographic rendering of central Stockholm, with Gamla Stan (the Old Town) prominently featured and the site of the Royal Palace indicated by the symbol of the North Star. Two crossed keys appear above the map in the upper field, serving as a heraldic emblem associated with Stockholm. The denomination '200 KRONOR' is inscribed to the left of the map in the field. The overall composition merges cartographic art with numismatic design in a refined engraving style. |

Issued to mark the 250th anniversary of the completion of Stockholm's Royal Palace — Nicodemus Tessin the Younger's decades-long project that replaced the medieval Tre Kronor castle after it burned in 1697. Construction dragged on so long that Tessin himself died in 1728 without seeing it finished. The palace was finally inaugurated by Adolf Fredrik in 1754, making the 2004 anniversary date arithmetically precise.
