A legend drawn from Hammarskjöld's interpretation of Saint-John Perse's Chronique curves around the upper and lateral portions of the design. The denomination 200 KRONOR is inscribed in the lower field. The mint mark letter E (for Eskilstuna) appears to the left of the flames, and the letter H — the initial of the Riksbank Governor's surname — appears to the right.
