Obverse lettering CAROLUS * LINNÆUS 1707 * 2007
(Translation: Carl Linnaeus)
Reverse description Central field features a stylized geometric arrangement of stamens and pistils rendered in a checked or grid pattern, adapted from a plate in Linnaeus's landmark taxonomic work Systema Naturae of 1736, evoking the orderliness and classificatory rigour of his botanical system. The legend SYSTEMA NATURÆ arcs along the upper border, while the denomination 200KR and the issuing country name SVERIGE appear along the lower border. The mintmark E, denoting the Eskilstuna mint, is positioned to the left of the lower rim, and the Riksbank Governor's initials SI appear to the right.
