The Omron rings — a constellation of small circular patterns readable by photocopiers and many inkjet printers — were added to this issue specifically to trigger copy-prevention software built into modern reproduction hardware. Their inclusion on a note already carrying colour-shifting ink and a security thread reflects a broader mid-2010s push by European central banks to harden circulating notes against increasingly capable consumer-grade scanning equipment.
Kulhánek designed the original 200 Kč series beginning in the 1990s; this 2018 iteration is a security upgrade rather than a redesign. Ondráček and Fajt are both established intaglio engravers at Státní Tiskárna Cenin, whose Prague facility has handled Czech currency production continuously since the post-Czechoslovak transition.
