| Description du revers | The reverse features an abstract, fragmented composition evoking the bullet-scarred walls of the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Prague, where the paratroopers made their last stand. A stylized rendering of the crypt's ventilation shaft openings is depicted centrally, surrounded by textured panels suggesting pockmarked stonework and the aftermath of the siege. The lower field bears the two-line legend 'OPERACE ANTHROPOID' above the date range '1942-2017', commemorating the 75th anniversary of the operation. The engraver's monogram 'IH' for Irena Hradecká appears at the base of the field. The overall design employs a geometric, segmented aesthetic characteristic of contemporary Czech commemorative coinage. |

Operation Anthropoid was the SOE-backed mission in which Czechoslovak paratroopers Jozef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš fatally wounded Reinhard Heydrich in Prague on 27 May 1942 — the only successful assassination of a senior Nazi official carried out by Allied forces during the entire war. The reprisals were catastrophic: Lidice was razed, its male population shot, and the women deported to Ravensbrück. The seven paratroopers were eventually betrayed and died in the crypt of the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius after a battle with the SS on 18 June 1942.
This issue marks the 75th anniversary of that operation.
