| Obverse description | The obverse presents a bold, modernist graphic design by Jiří Hanuš centered on the ABO blood group system, the discovery of which is attributed to Jan Janský. A large stylized droplet or lance shape dominates the field, divided by a vertical axis, with the letters A, B, 0, and AB rendered in large relief characters within the four quadrants, referencing the four human blood types.
