Reverse description The reverse presents an 18th-century engraved panoramic vignette of the city of Trnava, historically known as Parva Roma — Little Rome — on account of its many ecclesiastical buildings. Church spires and period architecture dominate the cityscape, rendered in a detailed intaglio style. Inscriptions identify the issuing authority, with designer and engraver credits repeated in the lower margin.

Slovakia's 200 Koruna series was introduced as the newly independent republic was still consolidating its monetary infrastructure following the January 1993 dissolution of Czechoslovakia and the subsequent currency separation. The 1995 date reflects a revision within that early post-independence period, not the original 1993 issue — the series went through several printings as the National Bank worked to standardize its note stock.

Engraving by Václav Fajt, a Czech engraver whose work appeared on multiple Slovak issues despite the political split — a practical continuity that outlasted the federation itself.
