Reverse description The reverse reproduces in silver relief the reverse design of the 2019-series 200 hryvnia banknote, featuring a detailed depiction of the entrance tower of Lutsk Castle, also known as Lubart's Castle or Upper Castle. This medieval fortification, the most prominent landmark of Lutsk, dates to the mid-14th century and served as the fortified seat of Liubartas (Lubart), son of Gediminas and last ruler of united Galicia-Volhynia. The denomination 200 ГРИВЕНЬ and the legend Двісті гривень appear in the field alongside the inscription В'їзна вежа Луцького замку. The year 2019 — denoting the banknote design year — and the numeral 200 are repeated in multiple positions within the composition.
