Reverse description The reverse features a richly detailed composition celebrating the cultural heritage of the French Pacific Territories. At the centre, a traditional Polynesian figure or motif is depicted alongside three stylised ridged arrows, a drum, and a ukulele. The outer ring incorporates ornamental Tapa cloth patterns from Wallis, a Tiki figure, and traditional door frame motifs, together evoking the artistic traditions of New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Wallis and Futuna. The design transitions between the smooth central disc and the scalloped outer ring, framing the cultural imagery with geometric border elements.

Additional information

The IEOM, established in 1966, issues currency for France's three Pacific collectivities — French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Wallis and Futuna — the only territories still using the CFP franc. The parity rate of 1000 CFP to 8.38 euros, fixed since 1949, has never been adjusted.
