| 正面描述 | The bimetallic centre bears the large numeral '200' prominently in the field, with the denomination 'FCFA' immediately below and the date '2024' beneath that. Flanking the denomination on both sides are stylised palm branch or wing motifs. The legend 'BANCO DE LOS ESTADOS DE AFRICA CENTRAL' arcs along the upper portion of the outer stainless steel ring, while 'BANK OF CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES' arcs along the lower portion, the two inscriptions together representing the institution's name in Spanish and English. |

The BEAC 200 francs denomination was introduced in 2012 as part of a broader modernization of the franc CFA coinage shared across six central African states — Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon. Bimetallic construction was adopted specifically to frustrate counterfeiting, a persistent problem with the earlier single-metal issues circulating across the monetary union.
The CFA franc itself has been pegged to the euro at a fixed rate of 655.957 since 1999, a continuation of the original peg to the French franc established after World War II.
