This is a fantasy or novelty piece, not a circulated or officially issued banknote. No institution called the Banque Impériale de France has ever existed as a legal currency authority, and France has not issued paper francs since the euro replaced the franc in 2002. The combination of an imperial-era name with a 2021 production date places this squarely in the collector novelty or "souvenir banknote" category — items produced for the decorative and gift market rather than monetary use.
