Obverse description The obverse is dominated by a large intaglio-printed hand reaching upward from the lower centre, with three coordinate axes (x, y, z) radiating from the palm to evoke scientific inquiry and the theme of scientific knowledge. Behind the hand, a green globe rendered in fine guilloche linework occupies the lower right, while an outline map of Switzerland appears at lower left. The denomination numeral "200" is printed in large brown letterpress figures at the foot of the note, above the bilingual bank name in German and Romansh.

Reverse description The reverse is centred on a large circular vignette representing a particle collision or light-burst event, rendered in intricate multicolour guilloche with radiating green, teal, gold and blue geometric forms emanating from a bright central point, evoking the theme of scientific research. The large brown denomination numeral "200" appears at upper left, with the serial number printed vertically in two positions at centre and right. Bilingual bank-name legends in French and Italian run vertically along the left margin, and the value in French and Italian along with facsimile signature titles appear at lower right.
