Obverse description The obverse features a highly stylized, decorative typographic composition set within a rectangular frame inscribed in the field. The denomination '200 FORINT' is prominently displayed in large, ornamental Art Deco-influenced lettering at the center of the design. The legend 'MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG' (Hungarian People's Republic) surrounds the central numerals in matching stylized script, arranged along the left, top, and bottom of the rectangular panel. The date '1985' is split across the left and right sides of the coin field outside the frame, and the Budapest mint mark 'BP' appears in a circular cartouche at the top, with the engraver's monogram 'FZ' in a cartouche at the bottom.
