| 正面描述 | The obverse is divided into two hemispheres joined by the course of the Seine. The left half depicts the Pavillon Richelieu of the Louvre Palace, a former royal residence, with its prominent triangular pediment supported by eight caryatids, flanked by the Colbert and Turgot wings and opening toward the Rue de Rivoli. In the foreground stands the glass Pyramid of the Louvre, designed by Sino-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei and completed in 1989. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE is inscribed across the central field, readable when the coin is rotated 180°. The right half of the obverse features the Pont des Arts spanning the Seine. |

Part of the Monnaie de Paris UNESCO World Heritage series, this issue commemorates the Paris riverfront designated by UNESCO in 1991 — a zone stretching roughly from the Pont de Sully to the Pont d'Iéna encompassing some of the most politically and architecturally layered real estate in Europe. The series has run long enough that collector fatigue is a documented market phenomenon, with secondary prices on mid-series issues frequently falling below issue price within eighteen months of release.
