| 背面描述 | The reverse, common to the UNESCO Paris, Rives de la Seine series, is divided into two distinct halves joined by a stylized aerial rendering of the Seine river flowing through Paris. The left half bears the UNESCO logo alongside the face value and date, while the right half presents an aerial view situating both the Place de la Concorde and the Palais Bourbon within their Parisian urban context. Lettering identifies the two monuments and the UNESCO World Heritage designation. The denomination 200 EURO and the year 2017 are clearly inscribed within the composition. |

This piece belongs to the "Monuments de Paris" series issued by the Monnaie de Paris, which has used high-denomination gold issues since the early 2000s to fund the institution's operational independence following its 2007 conversion from a government directorate into an EPIC — a public industrial and commercial establishment. The Place de la Concorde was originally named Place Louis XV at its inauguration in 1763, was later the site of over a thousand executions by guillotine during the Reign of Terror, and has carried at least five different official names since the Revolution.
