Reverse description The reverse presents the same bow-shaped sculptural form as the obverse, with the houndstooth textile pattern rendered in fine milled relief across the two lobes of the bow, mirroring the design language of the obverse. The central knot is finished in smooth, mirror-like polished relief, providing a striking contrast against the textured patterned areas. The coin's non-circular, bow-shaped flan is a hallmark of this issue, emphasizing its character as a collector's piece inspired by the emblematic accessories of the House of Dior. No additional legends or inscriptions appear on this face.

Additional information

Issued as part of Monnaie de Paris's ongoing haute couture series, this piece commemorates the 75th anniversary of the House of Dior, founded by Christian Dior in 1946 on Avenue Montaigne. The maison reopened French fashion to international buyers at a moment when the industry was rebuilding after the Occupation — the February 1947 debut collection, later dubbed the "New Look" by Harper's Bazaar, was as much an economic intervention as an aesthetic one.

Gold issues in this series are produced in extremely limited quantities and are priced well above melt from issue, functioning largely outside normal numismatic circulation channels.
