| Reverse description | The reverse presents a three-quarter bust of José de Anchieta, the Jesuit missionary and Apostle of Brazil, facing slightly left, shown wearing clerical robes and resting his hands upon an open book. To the left of the bust is a patriarchal cross entwined with the Jesuit IHS monogram. The legend 'JOSÉ DE ANCHIETA' curves along the upper rim, flanked by his birth and death years '1534' and '1597'.
