Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in mature years with styled hair, pearl drop earring, and pearl necklace. The uncrowned bust is rendered in high relief against a polished field, with fine frosted detailing on the hair and garments. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left periphery and D•G•REGINA along the upper right, separated by the portrait. The engraver's initials SB appear discreetly at the base of the bust truncation.

Reverse description The reverse presents a dramatic maritime scene engraved in meticulous detail, depicting two sailing vessels underway on open water. In the foreground, the bow and billowing sails of a large square-rigged ship fill the left portion of the field, rendered in close perspective with intricate rigging, bowsprit, and anchor chain visible. In the middle distance to the right, a brigantine under full sail navigates calm seas beneath a sky of billowing clouds, with seabirds in flight above. The denomination 200 DOLLARS and date 2022 are inscribed along the lower right periphery, with the country name CANADA arcing across the upper border. The engraver's initials BR appear to the lower right of the central vessel.
