The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by sculptor Jody Clark, had a troubled reception when introduced in 2015 — Commonwealth mints adopted it unevenly, and several issued formal statements defending the likeness against public criticism. Perth, characteristically, continued producing high-specification bullion and proof issues regardless. This two-ounce fine gold piece was struck in the final year of her reign; Elizabeth II died in September 2022, making contemporaneous Perth Mint issues from that year transitional in a strictly cataloging sense.
