| Obverse description | Facing right, the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley occupies the centre of the obverse field, depicting the Queen as a mature, bare-necked bust wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara and a drop earring, her hair elaborately styled. The engraver's initials IRB appear in small relief below the truncation of the neck. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field from left to right, with AUSTRALIA continuing along the right periphery; the denomination 200 DOLLARS is inscribed in large letters along the lower arc. A finely executed beaded border frames the entire design. |
