Obverse description The obverse presents a right-truncated, uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail befitting a proof issue. The legend CHARLES III is inscribed along the left arc of the field, while D·G·REX appears along the upper right arc, together forming the abbreviated Latin title affirming his divine appointment as King. The denomination 200 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower portion of the field beneath the portrait. The engraver's initials SR appear incuse in the lower right of the portrait truncation. The coin's mirrored proof fields provide a stark, polished contrast to the frosted sculptural relief of the effigy.
