Obverse lettering CHARLES III D·G·REX 200 DOLLARS SR
(Translation: Charles III, by the Grace of God, King)
Reverse description The reverse features a symmetrical heraldic composition centered on two historic royal crowns flanking a maple leaf. To the left is a detailed rendition of St. Edward's Crown, the ancient coronation headpiece worn by King Charles III at his coronation on May 6, 2023; to the right is the Canadian Royal Crown. The two crowns are united at center by a stylized maple leaf, the enduring national symbol of Canada. Surrounding the composition are the four floral emblems of the constituent nations of the United Kingdom—the Tudor rose for England, the thistle for Scotland, the shamrock for Ireland, and the daffodil for Wales—intertwined with acanthus leaf scrollwork. The legend CANADA appears along the upper arc and the date 2024 along the lower arc of the field.
