Opmerkingen

Suriname's 200 Dollar denomination was introduced as part of the 2019–2024 series issued following the country's catastrophic monetary crisis, during which inflation peaked at over 60% annually and the Surinamese dollar lost most of its purchasing power. The central bank required higher denominations simply to keep pace with prices — the 200 Dollar note is a direct consequence of that fiscal collapse, not a routine addition to the series.

P#166A carries a windowed security strip rather than a fully embedded thread, a distinction that matters for authentication. Both features are present, serving different functions in the note's security architecture.
